                         Rhetorical Analysis of a Lab Report

Title:

Lab 1-New York Tap water is often referred to as one of the best and better qualities than other tap waters across the U.S

Lab 2-New York reservoirs and high-end technology to keep New York state tap water clean which make s it one the best drinkable tap water in the U.S

Abstract:

These two labs that are represented above are labs are that talk about similar situation with New York on why it is important to keep fresh water functional all the time and talk about why New York state tap water cleaner is than other states. Also these two labs show the differences between the data that has been gathered throughout the research that has been done.

On the first lab report it shows that New York state tap water is clean but through the year of human usage treatments still need to disinfect the water with chlorine and other chemicals which prevent bacteria and nitrate and it is known that in New York waterways and pipes have build up and lead leaching. For lab two it explains the science on why billions of people get their water from reservoirs that have been cleansed by machines that have been tested to reduce the amount of lead that one can consume from drinking this water.

Introduction

Both lab report talks about how the DEP mostly watch over how most of the water comes in through clean streams that have been invested millions of dollars for the pipes could keep running and services could keep functioning New York City’s water supply system which is composed of two primary surface water supplies called the Catskill/Delaware and Croton. The city also has a permit to operate a groundwater supply in Southeast Queens, although the system has not been delivered to customers in many years because of many malfunctions that have gone on through the years.

The second lab report that states compared to the other lab report that the water is so clean that New York is one of the few states that isn’t legally required to filter its drinking water that is still chlorinated to kill potential pathogens, and the most problem-causing contaminants in the NYC watershed are byproducts of chemical disinfection.

Methods and Materials

The methods that both lab reports use for New York state water supply is that since the New York state water supply is contaminated with sewage and excreted matter it must be refined and must go through regular bacterial test that are crucial to ensure that water supplies are safe to consume. Even with tap water having massive amount of availability so is water bottles there are cleaner and safer to consume.

Both of these reports have talk about cleaner water solutions come with the own analysist which was tested or has been tested before by products that are designed to combat high level lead and other contaminants in the new york state water supply.

Results

The indicator that both tap water and water bottles have both been tested to show that since tap water has been in lakes and rivers with different types of bacterium like fecal matter that has been mixed with other more dangerous organisms and The coliform bacilli is the organism that is most digested by humans since it comes together with other dangerous organisms scientist/researchers have notice that this organism dies out in fresh water because it encounters multiple pathogens that kill it as soon as it encounters it. Researchers found that some of these pathogens are normally controlled through the disinfection of water which is then passed through big machines that disinfected the water that spread across all New York State.

Discussion

Both have argued and agreed that bottled water is the safer option to drink water or if its tap water it is safe to drink directly of the base of the sink the best option is to use a filter at home to avoid drinking lead contaminated water or heavy metals that are mixed with disinfecting products that are known to cause health issues. Even if in most causes doctors and dentist encourage people to drink from time to time ta water since it contains fluoride that is good for the teeth but either way bottle water is always the way to go.

Conclusion

The Labs are both a about New York State tap water which are shown to show the result of the positives and negatives about tap water The researchers have shown and proved that even if new York state tap water is the safest in the U.S Both showed that tap water can be used for human consumption and animal consumption which the main goal for these test and research is to show the masses that tap water is safe to consume even if bacteria get in the water new York state has machines to always provide clean water for everyone which soon in 25 new York state governor has said that he will build fountains and water stations to provide safe water for everyone regardless of age.

Microbiological Analysis of Drinking Water – Lab Reports

 Self Reflection:

The lab report I was working on talks tap water in New York state I strongly believe this an important topic to talk about since many people don’t know about the science and research and testing that goes behind these things. The lab report that I’m writing are part of something that we use in everyday life I’m not studying to be scientist but to a computer engineer that will in correlation with machines that are build in the future who knows maybe soon more and more people will move toward into being electrical engineers, other engineers will work together to build more machines and filtration units in different states far away from us or even countries for more and more people could use clean water in their daily lives. Overall, I did enjoy writing this lab report it taught me many things behind what’s in our filtration units and the behind the scenes on the tap that we use every day.
